Haroldean R. Schiesser Hott
December 29, 1932 to January 31, 2025
WINAMAC - Haroldean R. (Schiesser) Hott, 92, of Kokomo (formerly of Kouts), passed away peacefully, Friday, Jan. 31, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 29, 1932, in Chicago to the late Harold R. and Ivah F. (Lasson) Schiesser. The Schiesser family moved to Winamac in 1941. After graduating from Winamac High School in 1950, Haroldean worked at the Kingsbury Ammunition plant. She married her high school sweetheart, Dr. Robert E. “Bob” Hott on June 5, 1954 in Winamac. They lived in Indianapolis, until he graduated from dental school. He preceded her in death.

In 1958, the Hotts moved to Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Aberdeen, MD where Bob was stationed for the U.S. Army. In 1961, following the completion of his military service, they moved to Kouts where they lived for over 55 years. Mrs. Hott owned and operated “The Stitchery Shoppe” in Valparaiso, for many years, from 1976 through the 1990s.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be follow at 2 p.m. (Saturday), at the funeral home. Burial will be at Winamac Cemetery (Town Addition) in Winamac.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
