FRANCESVILLE - Valerie V. Radtke, 101, of Francesville, passed away Tuesday, March 18, at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville.

She was born Oct. 28, 1923 in Chicago, to Anthony and Mary (Rapnik) Kowalski.

She is survived by her son Mark Parrott, as well as two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Jerrold Radtke. She was the dear sister of Andrew “Andy” Kowalski and Antonia “Dolly” Kostyn.

Mrs. Radtke was a beautician, who worked from home and taught at Wolford Beauty Academy. She was a member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church in Chicago. She enjoyed volunteering at Pulaski County Human Services in Winamac and Medaryville.

At Valerie’s request, no services will be held.

Cremation will take place at Frain Crematory in Winamac.

Memorial donations may be made to Pulaski County Human Services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Medaryvllle.
