Frank Doty

March 10, 1926 to May 20, 2012

WINAMAC - Frank Doty, 86, of Winamac, passed away at 7:50 p.m., Sunday, May 20, at his granddaughter's residence in Ft. Wayne.

He was born March 10, 1926 in English Lake, to the late Walter and Catherine Friedel Doty.

Survivors include: 
Carolyn Arnett, Winamac, Daughter 
Patricia "Pat" McQuinn, Webster, FL, Daughter 
Virginia "Ginger" Richenbach, Elizabethtown, Daughter 
15 Grandchildren 
Many Great Grandchildren & Great-Great Grandchildren

Mr. Doty was a lifetime resident of Winamac and enjoyed living on the Tippecanoe River. He liked fishing and trapping. His neighbors called him "The Old Man of the River". He also enjoyed gardening, antiquing, junking, and looking for old bottles in the river. Before he became ill, he was well known as a prankster among his friends and family. In the last few years, Frank and Judd could be found on the "Liars Bench" sharing stories. 
He loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. They brought him a lot of joy.

Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m., (Wednesday, May 23), at the funeral home with Rev. Edward Clark officiating. 

Memorial donations may be given to the family.
