WINAMAC - Russell "Rusty" Prange Jr., 83, of Winamac, died at 12:10 p.m., Monday, May 6, at his residence.
He was born April 14, 1930, in Pomeroy, IA, to the late Russell and Irma Dahlke Prange Sr. He married Ann E. Bollhauve on June 13, 1953, in Winamac. She passed away June 7, 2006

Mr. Prange was a retired meat cutter and had worked many years at Russell's Trading Post in Winamac. He was also a self-employed painter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict serving aboard the USS Orleck. He attended St. Peter's Catholic Church for many years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Friends may call after 1 p.m., Friday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., (Friday, May 10), at the funeral home with Terrance Prange officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Winamac. The American Legion and VFW will conduct military graveside services.
