Kathryn G. Ash

May 16, 1911 to February 26, 2014

WINAMAC - Kathryn G. Ash, 102, of Winamac, died at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.

She was born May 16, 1911, in Kewanna, to the late Earl and Glen Barger Graffis. She married Argyl E. Ash on Feb. 21, 1937 in Hawesville, KY. He died Dec. 25, 1999.

She was preceded in death by:

Mrs. Ash was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Indiana Retired Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers Sorority. She was a Past Worthy Matron and member of Order of Eastern Star #96 in Winamac. She was a retired elementary school teacher. She taught for over 40 years in schools in the Winamac area. She enjoyed working with her husband Argyl in their apple orchard and truck patch on the family farm. She also enjoyed crocheting and playing cards.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday (March 8), at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., at the funeral home with Bob Conn officiating. Burial will  be in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.

Memorial donations may be given to Pulaski County Public Library.
