WINAMAC - James Richard Nitzschke, 66, of Wheatfield, formerly of Winamac, passed away at 7:35 p.m., Thursday, June 25, at Porter Regional Hospital, Valparaiso.

He was born April 9, 1949, in Winamac, to the late Gilbert Clyde and Sylvia Mae Poor Nitzschke. He married Jacquelyn Ann Engstromon April 29, 2006, in Valparaiso. She survives.

Mr. Nitzschke was a member of the Portage Masonic Lodge and the Murat Shrine, Michigan City. He was a member of Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, Wheatfield. He loved to go fishing, camping, and riding his Harley.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be given to Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, Wheatfield.
