Phyllis Fugate

June 21, 1933 to December 18, 2015

WINAMAC - Phyllis Jean Fugate, 82, of Winamac, passed away at 6:29 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac. 

She was born June 21, 1933, in Carmi, IL, to the late Gilbert and Velma Idola Collins Hutchcraft. She married George R. Fugate on April 5, 1953 in Winamac. He survives.

Pamela Crum , Indianapolis, Daughter
Gilbert Fugate, West Lafayette, Son
Grandchildren and great grandchildren:
  Steven (Tiffany) Davis and daughters Kennedy and Addisyn
  Amy (Brad) Johnson and sons Quinn and Camden
  Robert Davis
  Catharine Crum
  Jaimee Crum
Also several other grandchildren and great grandchildren
Francis (Cosimo) Cira, Logansport, Sister
Jane (Daniel) Casey, South Carolina, Sister
Joan Irion, Elkhart, Sister

Mrs. Fugate was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winamac and the United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker and had worked as a floral designer at the former Bonnell Flower Shop in Winamac. She enjoyed baking and caring for others. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to  2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., (Tuesday, Dec. 22), at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Marty officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date.  

Memorial donations may be given to United Methodist Youth Group
