Irene H. Watkins

WINAMAC - Irene Helen Watkins, 94, of Winamac, passed away at 11:24 p.m., Monday, Dec. 21, at Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac.
She was born on Sept. 18, 1921 in Daniz, Poland to the late Albert and Agnes Mroczek. She married Samuel Watkins on Sept., 1940 in Knox. He preceded her in death in 1974.

Mrs. Watkins was proud of her Polish heritage. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. She worked for many years at the Freeman Sewing Factory in Winamac and also as a nanny for Lauren and Sarah Miller. She loved children and helped many families when she could. She will be sadly missed by her family.
A graveside service will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac at a later date.
Memorial donations may be given to Pulaski Health Care Center or St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
