Lamoine H. Hooker

February 23, 1929 to January 1, 2016

FRANCESVILLE - Lamoine H. Hooker, 86, of Francesville, passed away at 7:18 p.m., Friday, Jan. 1, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.

He was born at the family home in Francesville on Feb. 23, 1929 to the late Otto and Julia Grock Hooker. On Aug. 14, 1949, he married Emogene "Jean" Stamer in Francesville. She survives

Mr. Hooker graduated from Francesville High School in 1947. He was a member of St. James Salem United Church of Christ in Francesville, where he had also served on the church board. He was proud to have been a life long farmer. He was a former member of Farm Bureau CO-OP. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He and Jean enjoyed square dancing for many years. He also enjoyed watching westerns and listening to country music. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. 

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 4, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel-Francesville and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5, at St. James Salem United Church of Christ, Francesville, with Rev. Judith Doll officiating. Burial will be at St. James Salem Cemetery, Francesville.
