Jane R. Tetzloff

January 21, 1945 to June 6, 2017

BONNER SPRINGS, KAN. - Word has been received of the death of Jane Ruth Clarke Tetzloff, 72, of Edwardsville, Kan. who passed away Tuesday, June 6, at the Kansas City Hospice House.

She was born Jan. 21, 1945 in Oak Park, Ill. She married John Tetzloff of Winamac, and they celebrated 51 years together. He survives.

Also surviving are: two daughters Karen Barlow (Tom) of Golden, Colo. and Patricia Gillespie (Larry) of Oakland, Calif.; one sister Barbara Almgreen of Rolling Meadows, Ill.; and four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Sue Norman.

Mrs. Tetzloff and her husband lived in the Chicago area until 1972. They moved to the Kansas City area in 1972 to raise their family. Later they moved to Colorado for two years, then returned to Edwardsville, Kan. area in 1992. She was one of the most caring people ever, and loved to spend time praying for the needs of everyone she knew. She was an avid reader. She was a member of the Edwardsville Christian Church, and had volunteered at the Providence Medical Center for several years. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren who will all miss her greatly. Her favorite bible verse was Philippians 4:8 (NIV): Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about these things.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 8, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, Kan. The funeral will be at 10 a.m., Friday, June 9, at the Edwardsville Christian Church. Burial will be at Edwardsville Cemetery.
