Marylou Bonnell

August 15, 1932 to October 14, 2018

WINAMAC - Marylou Bonnell, 86, of Star City, passed away at 9 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Lansing, Mich., to the late Otho W. Lula D. Emerson Crawford. She graduated from Winamac High School in 1950. On June 10, 1951, she married Wayne Bonnell, at the Star City United Methodist Church. He survives.

Mrs. Bonnell was an active member of the Star City United Methodist Church. She was a true philanthropist, having been instrumental in the creation of the Community Foundation of Pulaski County where she served 10 years as a director. She gave a lot of time and energy to her community. In her younger years, she was a talented cake baker and decorator. She was also a master at gingerbread cookies. 
She was also one of the first female bus drivers for Star City and Winamac schools. Marylou and Wayne established Pond View Golf Course in 1974 which grew to include Pine View Golf Course in 1985 and Mystic Hills Golf Course in 1998. Mrs. Bonnell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, at Star City United Methodist Church, Star City. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the church with Pastor Tom Richards officiating. Burial will be at Buck Cemetery, Star City.
