WINAMAC - Estelle M. Galbreath, 98, of Royal Center, died on Nov. 8, at IU Health Hospital in Lafayette.

She was born Oct. 14, 1922 in Chicago, to the late Kost and Vera Mitrus. She graduated from Winamac High School and attended nursing school in Indianapolis. On Nov. 15, 1953, she married Herbert E. Galbreath who preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 2005.

Mrs. Galbreath was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac. She was a former Girl Scout Troop Organizer and a 4-H Leader and 4-H Council member. She was a past president of the Star City American Legion Auxiliary.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac, with Rev. Andrew DeKeyser officiating. Burial will be at the cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
