Garry R. Weaver

November 11, 1954 to October 21, 2023

WINAMAC - Garry Ray Weaver, 68, of Bass Station (formerly of Kewanna) passed away Saturday, Oct. 21.

He was born Nov. 11, 1954 in Winamac to the late Raymond Thomas and Evelyn Josephine [Cannon] Weaver. He attended St. Peter’s Catholic School and graduated from Winamac Community High School in 1973. After high school, he attended Ivy Tech where he took automotive body repair courses.

Throughout his career, Mr. Weaver worked at various body shops in Winamac, Indianapolis and Houston. He was raised in the Catholic faith and most recently attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pulaski. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, traveling, antiquing and collecting arrowheads. He had a good sense of humor and the great gift of gab. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. There will be no services or burial. Mr. Weaver’s cremated remains will be scattered somewhere meaningful at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
