Christine M. Hague

February 16, 1977 to April 7, 2024

WINAMAC - Christine M. “Christy” Hague, 47, of Winamac, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 7.

She was born Feb. 16, 1977, in Chicago to Alan and Karen [Younker] Utes. She grew up in Winamac and graduated from Winamac Community High School with the class of 1995. She enjoyed playing softball, swimming and participating in school activities such as Sunshine Society, Beta Club and National Honor Society. She was a member of the inaugural Winamac Girls Softball high school team and spent several summers lifeguarding at the Bass Lake Beach. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and earned a bachelor’s degree in 1999. The summer between her freshman and sophomore year at IU, she met Jason Hague. On July 22, 2000, they were married at the First Christian Church in Winamac. They lived in Indianapolis for a year before moving to Winamac in 2001.

Mrs. Hague was the credentialing coordinator and physician liaison at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac. Prior to working at PMH, she was the office manager at the Clinic for Women and Family Health in Winamac. She had also formerly worked as the Pulaski County Emergency Preparedness coordinator. Her first job after moving back to Winamac was as the office manager at Pulaski County ExPRESS. She was a devoted member of the First Christian Church. She currently served as the church secretary and an elder. She had formerly served as a deaconess and youth group leader. She was also an avid supporter of her children’s activities and sports. She was a volunteer for the Winamac Chiefs and served on the board for the Winamac Girls Softball League, Pulaski County EMS and Pulaski Animal Center. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, April 12, at the First Christian Church, Winamac, with Pastor Jeff Seger officiating. A celebration of life event will follow from 3 to 6 p.m. (Friday), at Celebration Station (opera house) in Winamac.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, c/o Jason Hague, to support Ella’s and Alex’s higher education.
