Lester M. Huber
May 31, 1921 to November 28, 2015
FRANCESVILLE - Lester M. Huber, 94, of Francesville, passed away at 7:35 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28, at his home.
He was born May 31, 1921, in Remington, the son of Louis and Lena Schieler Huber. He married Glendoris I. Wuethrich on Aug. 20, 1944 in Francesville. His bride of 71 years survives.
Survivors also include five sons and two daughters. Barbara Huber of Francesville, Maurice (Monica) Huber of Lexington KY, Ben (June) Huber of Winchester, KY, Glenda (Jan) Neukomm of Morton IL, Stephen (Pam) Huber of Suffolk VA, Michael (Susan) Huber of Lexington, KY, and Jerrell (Kim) Huber of Lexington, KY; one sister, Viola Schlatter, of Paulding, OH, 18 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Eugene Huber, Wayne Huber, Wilbur Huber, William Huber, Helen Huber, Hazel Huber, Lois Ann Gudeman, and Bertie Stoller.
Mr. Huber was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. He farmed in the Francesville area for 25 years. In 1956, he was called into the ministry. In 1968, he and his family moved to the Lexington, KY area, where he founded a missionary church. There he unselfishly ministered to the needy in central and eastern Kentucky for 45 years. His greatest joy was preaching the word of God. He and his beloved wife “Dorsey" were known for their willingness to host countless visitors from many of the Apostolic Christian churches.
Mr. Huber was a very handy man, able to make something from very little. He had a special hobby, learning to fly as a young man in Indiana. He owned, rebuilt, and piloted a number of Cessna airplanes, using his 10 acre farm, in Winchester, KY as a runway and landing strip for his flights into eastern Kentucky. His entrepreneurial spirit allowed him to work with many people as he built and marketed his high pressure washer systems throughout eastern Kentucky. He also endeared many to him as a landlord who worked with his tenants, encouraging many who needed a helping hand.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville; and one hour prior to services Friday, at the church. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 4, at the Apostolic Christian Church, Francesville. Ministers of the church will officiate. Burial will be at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.

Elizabeth Parcel
September 13, 1931 to November 30, 2015
WINAMAC - Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Parcel, 84, of Winamac, passed away at 3:25 a.m., Monday, Nov. 30, at Miller's Merry Manor in Culver.
She was born Sept. 3, 1931, in Winamac, to the late Cyril and Mildred Costello Widup. She married Kermit "Buck" Parcel on April 26, 1951 in Star City. He survives.

Mrs. Parcel was a member of the Winamac First Presbyterian Church. She worked as a secretary for the former Rice Corporation in Winamac. She then worked for Pulaski County Abstract at Winamac. She also worked as church secretary at the Winamac First Presbyterian Church for 31 years. She enjoyed walking and egg decorating. She loved her flower garden especially her roses. She and Denise frequently traveled to the Smokey Mountains and went on shopping trips.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, at the funeral home with Rev. Nelda Seger officiating. Burial will be at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

WINAMAC - Rachel Catherine Williams, 37, of Winamac, passed away at 2:11 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Ft. Wayne.
She was born Feb. 20, 1978 in Winamac to the late Steven and Kristine Lawrence Murray.

Mrs. Williams graduated from Winamac Community High School in 1997. She had worked as a bank teller at Alliance Bank in Winamac before becoming disabled in a car accident. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Winamac. She enjoyed shopping, listening to music, being on the internet, a good cup of coffee, and watching old TV shows and movies. She loved her little dog, Sparky. She was a loving mother, daughter, and sister. She loved her children very much.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m., Sunday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m., (Sunday, Nov. 29), at the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Hopewell officiating. A private burial will take place at Mt. Zion-Franklin Township Cemetery, Winamac.

Robert E. Miller
November 14, 1926 to November 18, 2015
MEDARYVILLE - Robert E. "Bob" Miller, 89, of Medaryville, passed away at 11:12 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville.
He was born Nov. 14, 1926 in Bedford to the late Raymond and Pauline Huff Miller. His first marriage was to Ruth Ann Hance who preceded him in death on Jan. 7, 1973. On Dec. 31, 1987 he married Dolores Woodard Joseph in Medaryville. She survives.

Mr. Miller had lived in Medaryville for over 30 years. He was retired from Budd Company in Gary where he had worked as a press operator. He was a member of the local union. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee during World War II. He enjoyed traveling, especially spending winters in Florida. His family will miss him dearly.
No services will be held. Private burial of cremated remains will take place at Clay City Cemetery, Clay City, IL.
Memorial donations may be given to Parkview Haven Retirement Home.

Betty M. Cramer

WINAMAC - Betty M. Cramer, 88, of Winamac, passed away at 4:10 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac.
She was born on Feb. 4, 1927 to the late Clyde and Clarice Howe Scott. She married Clarence Aaron Cramer on Nov. 4, 1960. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2002.

Mrs. Cramer was a lifelong resident of Winamac. She worked as a phone operator at United Telephone Co. in Winamac for over 20 years. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, especially spending their winter months in Florida. The family thanks the staff of Pulaski Health Care Center for taking such good care of Mrs. Cramer for the last 12 years. She considered each and everyone of the staff her family, due to the love and affection they showed her. Betty will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov 23, at Winamac Cemetery, Winamac. Burial of cremated remains will follow at the cemetery.

Boyd G. Back
July 17, 1961 to November 12, 2015
KNOX - Boyd G. Back, 54, of Winamac, died Thursday, Nov. 12, in Winamac.
He was born July 17, 1961 in Knox, the son of William Back and Faye(Hale) Back.
Surviving are his mother, Faye Back of Winamac, sisters, Billie (Randy) Goble of Winamac, Pam (John) Vanderkolk of Bluffton, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father William Back.
Mr. Back was a member of the Little Dove Baptist Church. He loved Bozo the Clown, Dukes of Hazard and sticky notes, but the one thing he loved the most was his family and spending time with them.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. (CT), Saturday, at the at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15, at Little Dove Baptist Church with Rev Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and Pulaski Animal Center.

WINAMAC - Frederick W. "Fred" Fishtorn, 36, of Winamac, passed away Sunday, Nov. 8.
He was born on March 20, 1979 in Hammond, to Dale and Virginia Pugh Fishtorn. He married Jennifer M. Young on May 15, 2006 in Rochester. She survives.

After graduating from Winamac High School in 1998, Mr. Fishtorn joined the U.S. Army. He served in the Iraq War. He was a member of the Winamac VFW Post #1728. He was a member of the Star City Volunteer Fire Department. He was a man of many talents. He had been a jailer and jail commander at the Pulaski County Jail, he had worked for Hoover Construction in Star City, as well as Magnetation LLC in Reynolds, and he was currently employed as a superintendent at HTH Companies in Lafayette. He enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. He loved his family very much, and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., (Saturday, Nov. 14), at the funeral home with Chaplain Maj. Don Nedza, U.S. Army Ret. officiating. Full military honors will be provided at the funeral home by the American Legion and VFW.
At Mr. Fishtorn’s request, he will be cremated following services and laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests that memorial donations be given to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
