WINAMAC - Wayne D. Winters, 64, of Winamac, died at 12:30 a.m., Sunday, July 1, at his residence in Winamac.
He was born Sept. 4, 1947, in Monterey, to Owen and Geraldine Hatfield Winters. He married Miriam M. Lloyd Heims on June 7, 1969, in Winamac. She passed away Nov. 30, 1997. He then married Nancy Clark Will on Aug. 29, 1998 in Winamac. She survives.

He was preceded in death by: Jack L. Winters, Brother
Mr. Winters retired after 35 years as a lineman with NIPSCO.He served in the U.S. Army durning the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing and "tinkering" around the house. He also enjoyed visiting with friends at the Oak Grove Restaurant in Star City.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.Burial will be in Star City West Cemetery, Star City.
