Grads in Action assist Humanitarian Distribution Center

The Pulaski County Community Foundation’s fourth annual Grads in Action project took place June 14 at the Humanitarian Distribution Center (HDC) in Francesville.

2014 PCCF scholars were invited to participate, giving them an opportunity to show off their grad-itude to their community before heading off to college.

Grads met early on a Saturday morning to help the Distribution Center’s board members fill bags of kidney beans and sort popcorn. The HDC supplies food to local families the first Wednesday of every month and depends on the help of volunteers.

The Community Foundation manages over 30 scholarships. There were 14 seniors who received a total of 21 scholarships this past spring through the Foundation totaling over $41,000.
