PCCF to offer new scholarship

Winamac and West Central High School seniors who are Pulaski County residents and plan to attend a public or private post-secondary or trade school will want to be sure to apply for the new Pulaski County Community Foundation Scholarship next spring.

The scholarship is open to any student in good standing at his/her high school, and no GPA requirements or field of study restrictions apply. An award will be made to a student from each high school every year.

The Community Foundation Board recently voted to create the new permanent scholarship to broaden opportunities for local youth to receive assistance toward higher education costs. The board hopes the new scholarship with minimal restrictions will encourage more students to apply. It also encourages community members to strengthen the scholarship fund with tax-deductible contributions of any size.

The Pulaski County Community Foundation Scholarship application will be available online in early February along with applications for the many other scholarships administered by the Community Foundation.
