Ruff family establishes CFPC fund

The Ruff Unrestricted Family Fund (R.U.F.F.) was recently established by Beth Ruff in loving memory of her husband, Jeffrey James Ruff.

Jeff passed away at age 53 after a brief, but severe illness last year. Beth made a charitable gift to the Community Foundation of Pulaski County and received a match from Lilly Endowment, creating a permanently endowed fund.

Jeff and Beth were high school sweethearts and married in 1986. Together they enjoyed animals, nature, family, friends and community. Jeff was passionate about his heritage. His local family history dates back to the mid-1800s when ancestors from Lorraine, France settled in Pulaski County. Several generations later, many members of the Ruff family continue to call Pulaski County home.

Beth said, “Jeff found great joy in giving his time and resources, whether to those in need or simply to benefit a greater good.” While Jeff left personal legacies through the individuals and organizations he actively supported during life, Beth hopes that the R.U.F.F. endowment will further preserve Jeff’s legacy of giving by funding perpetual good works in Pulaski County.
