WHS/WCHS Alumni Reunion honors Class of 1966

The 37th annual Winamac High School/Winamac Community High Schol Alumni Reunion was held Saturday, June 18, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Winamac.

Honored guests were 23 members from the 50-year class, the Class of 1966.

Bonnie Fitz O'Donnell, Class of 1953, received an award for perfect attendance for all 37 Alumni banquets. Elverta Moore, Class of 1939, received a gift for being the “most senior” (oldest) classmate attending.

Joyce McKinley, alumni historian, read the roll of classmates who died in the past year.

Victoria Behny and Courtney Kopka sang several different era songs during the alumni banquet dinner. They both attend WCHS.

Members of the class of 1966 who attended were Judy Wilson Ross, Pam Wilson Planck, Kenneth Podell, Jeanne Getz Pallos, Beverly Gudeman Smith, Linda Wank Lewis, Doris Clark Dommer, Myra Clark Baker, William Widup, Mark Copeland, Joe Pesaresi, Norman Lewis, Pamela Coble Toconis, Barbara Shepherd Beeler, Gloria Shellhart Staples, Phyliss Ewing Bathke, John Zanger, Sam Wank, Dick Scheffer, Rich Hood, David Shortle, Tom Hoffman, and Barbara Buck.

Norman Lewis was the spokesperson for the class of 1966.

Attending from the 20-year Class of 1996 were Jaime Murray, Rebecca Heater Kopka, Tasha Scott Campbell and Chuck Bennett.

The WHS/WCHS Alumni Reunion and Banquet is held every year the Saturday of Father's Day Weekend in June.
