Sheriff's office swears-in new deputy

Tanner Prentice was sworn-in Monday as a deputy sheriff with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.

Prentice will begin his duties with the sheriff’s office in a training capacity.

He will participate in the county sheriff’s office field training program until the time when he is scheduled to attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Prentice has served the sheriff’s office as a communications officer since 2014. He was voted as the 2015 Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Communications Officer of the Year. 

Prentice is a native of Logansport and a 2011 graduate of Logansport High School. He studied criminal justice at Indiana University Kokomo in Kokomo. He is in the process of moving to Pulaski County.
