Theft investigation leads to Medaryville area arrests

A theft investigation that began in White County led to two arrests near Medaryville Wednesday (Oct. 12), according to a new release from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.

Arrested on drug-related charges were James A. Miller, 51, and Sylvia I. Burns, 26, both of Francesville.

On Oct. 12, Pulaski County deputies assisted the White County Sheriff's Office with their investigation of a theft from the White County area.

This investigation led deputies to a residence in the 13000 Block of CR 550 N in Cass Township north of Medaryville. Deputies made contact with Miller and Burns who were visiting the residence, according to the police report.

Deputies located items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine and stolen property related to the investigation in White County. The Indiana State Police Clandestine Laboratory Team assisted at the scene.

Miller and Burns were taken into custody and are currently being held at the Pulaski County Jail on charges of dealing methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony, and possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony.
