Three Winamac adults were arrested on drug charges Thursday (Dec. 22) at a residence northeast of Winamac.

The charges stem from a Pulaski County Sheriff's Office investigation in reference to manufacturing methamphetamine.

Taken into custody were James Daniel, 48, James Ritenour III, 29, and Ariel Baugh, 25, all of Winamac. The three suspects were transported to the Pulaski County Jail where they are currently being held.

The arrests were made at a residence near CR 200 E and CR 500 N in Tippecanoe Township, according to a police news release.

Police had earlier obtained information in reference to individuals purchasing precursors used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. After further investigation, a search warrant was applied for through Pulaski County Circuit Court. Deputies from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and Starke County Sheriff’s Department executed the search warrant at the residence.

During the execution of the search warrant items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine and a “one-pot” methamphetamine lab was located in and around the area of a camper located on the property.

The Indiana State Police Clandestine Laboratory Team was called to the residence to assist with the investigation and the clean-up of hazardous materials involved in the process of manufacturing methamphetamine.
