The annual Jets Over the Heartland fly-in will run seven days (June 19-25), in Winamac. The radio-controlled  planes will fly from about 10 a.m. to dusk.

The event is sponsored by the Winamac Aero Modelers, and is open to the public.

This year, the main event on Saturday will be going LIVE with Region Aerial Drone Photography.

Jets Over the Heartland, the biggest annual event of the Aero Modelers, is now dedicated to the memory of Ralph Braun, a key founding member of the group.

Participants will practice all week, and Saturday will be the main event. The show features turbine powered RC (radio controlled) jets that can fly at 200 mph.

Food refreshments and seating on site. The Aero Modelers field is located on CR 100 W, just south of SR 14 W, Winamac.

Winamac Aero Modelers is a club dedicated to RC flight, and it hosts RC events at its 18-acre facility in Winamac. All RC pilots are welcomed to its world-class air field and events.
