Anthony J. Woodworth

May 7, 1979 to October 1, 2017

FRANCESVILLE - Anthony Joseph Woodworth, 38, of Angola, lost his battle with cancer at 9:26 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 1.

He was born May 7, 1979, in Angola to Stephen and Kathleen Myers Woodworth.

He is survived by: 
Kathleen Myers Woodworth, Mother 
Stephen E. Woodworth, Father 
James (Heidi) Woodworth, Brother 
Drew Woodworth, Nephew 
Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Relatives 
Moose, Beloved Dog

Preceded in death by: 
Virgil "Bud" and Rachel Myers, Maternal Grandparents 
Stephen L. and Maxine Woodworth, Paternal Grandparents 

Mr. Woodworth graduated from Angola High School in 1997 where he enjoyed being a part of the Jazz Band and Angola High School Marching Hornets Band (having marched at the RCA Dome in many state band contests). He had the privilege to participate as a representative of the American Legion Hoosier Boys State. After high school, he attended Ball State University where he majored in music education and was active in the marching band, jazz band, University Singers and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity. He was a member of the Pleasant View Church of Christ in Angola. During his youth, he enjoyed spending time with his cousins, especially attending VBS in Francesville. He worked in various food service/restaurant businesses for 15 years. He also enjoyed being a substitute DJ at the local radio station. He was an outgoing and talented young man who loved music, art, sports, cooking and especially spending time with his chocolate lab "Moose" of 14 years. His laughter and smile were infectious; he truly was a friend to all and will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 9, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m., Monday, at the funeral home with Pastor James Ketchen officiating. Entombment will follow at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville. 

The family will host a celebration of life service from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, at Glendarin Hills Golf Club, Angola.

Memorial donations may be made to the Francesville First Christian Church VBS or Angola High School Marching Band. Envelopes will be available at the memorial service at the funeral home, and at the celebration of life service in Angola.
