4-H Junior Leaders, Sunshine Society conduct food drive

The Pulaski County Junior Leaders 4-H Club and the Winamac Community High School Sunshine Society collected over 1,000 pounds of food during their annual food drive Oct. 24.

The "Trick-or-Treat So Others Can Eat" food drive was conducted that evening in Winamac and Francesville.

Sunshine members and Junior Leaders went door-to-door throughout the communities to collect canned goods. The food was then donated to Pulaski County food pantries to help stock shelves for the upcoming holidays.

The participants wish to thank everyone who donated, and the parents/family members who drove the youth.

Junior Leaders is a 4-H project that is administered through the Pulaski County Extension Office, located on 125 S. Riverside Dr. in Winamac and the staff can be reached for questions at (574) 946-3412. The Pulaski County Extension Office is open from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
