Donald J. Fox

July 3, 1926 to August 23, 2011

WINAMAC - Donald J. Fox, 85, of Winamac, passed away at 9:15 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, in Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.

He was born July 3, 1926, in Pulaski, to the late Rudolph and Ella McLachlin Fox. He married Beverly J. Budd on Oct. 17, 1948 in Ora. She died on Oct. 18, 1992.

He was preceed in death by:

Mr. Fox served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a sergeant in Co A 34th Infantry. He was a Life Member of VFW Post 1728 in Winamac. He was a past post commander and the commander of the gaurd for the military funeral details. He was a distinguished past second district commander of the VFW. He was a member of American Legion Post 71 in Winamac.

He worked as a carpenter and general contractor in the Winamac area for many years. He was co-owner of Tippecanoe Construction Co. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and feeding his birds.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m., Saturday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Sunday (Aug. 28), at the funeral home with Rev. Matt Landry officiating. Burial will be in Winamac Cemetery, Winamac. The VFW and American Legion will conduct military graveside services.

Memorial donations may be given to the VFW Post 1728 Scholarship Fund.
