WINAMAC - Lowell T. Stout, 75, of Star City, passed away at 1:36 a.m., Monday, Aug. 13, surrounded by his family at home.
He was born Sept. 9, 1942 in Medaryville, to the late Burl and Fern Roberts Stout.

Mr. Stout was raised on a farm near Medaryville with many siblings. At a young age, he was stricken with Polio. Although this left him disabled, he lived a full life. He enjoyed western movies, country music and reading the newspaper. He was a regular at Kostas for breakfast. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 16, at the funeral home with Pastor Heath Hiatt officiating. Burial will be at Koster Cemetery, Francesville.

Jennifer J. Russell
April 10, 1955 to August 8, 2018
ROYAL CENTER - Jennifer Jo Russell, 63 of Winamac (formerly of South Bend and Speedway) passed away peacefully at 11:55 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Dupont Hospital, Ft. Wayne.
Born on April 10, 1955 in Logansport, she was the daughter of E. Joseph and Emily Collings Russell. She graduated from Winamac Community High School in 1973 and held a degree in business from Indiana University.

Survivors include her mother, Emily Russell of Winamac; sister, Kim Russell of Winamac; brother, Steven Russell (Bob Figuley) of Miller Beach; niece, Mackenzie Ledley (Brian) of Winamac and nephew, Benjamin Ulm of Lake in the Hills, Ill. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Angel.
She was preceded in death by her father, E. Joseph Russell and brother-in-law, Larry P. Lyle.
Ms. Russell was a talented, multisport athlete and served as president of the Girls Athletic Association in high school. She was an advocate for equal opportunities for girls in high school athletics. She played GAA volleyball and basketball where she led in scoring. She was also an accomplished musician and regularly played the piano and organ duets with her father as a teenager. After college, she had a successful career in banking and property management. She was an open wheel racing enthusiast. She enjoyed the Indy 500 from her home near the speedway. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, at the First United Methodist Church in Winamac with Pastor David Marty officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be at McKinley Memorial Gardens, Winamac.
Memorial donations may be made to the Winamac Community High School Girls Basketball Team.

Rosanna T. Weaver
April 6, 1920 to August 8, 2018
WINAMAC - Rosanna T. Weaver, 98, long time resident of Monterey, passed away at 5:53 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac. She had resided at Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac the past two years.
She was born April 6, 1920 in Pulaski, to the late Hubert and Rose Russell Ortman. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1938. On Feb. 5, 1940, she married Paul W. Weaver in Pulaski. He passed away Feb. 11, 2007.

Mrs. Weaver was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Monterey and St. Anne's Rosary Society. She was an active volunteer at Pulaski County Human Services in Winamac where she had served as president of the board. She worked many years at Poort's Poultry Farm in Monterey and was a proud homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially preparing Sunday family dinners. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 12, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A scriptural wake service will precede visitation at 2 p.m., at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 13, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Monterey, with Rev. Michael McKinney officiating. Burial will be at St. Anne's Cemetery, Monterey.

WINAMAC - Harold David Walters , 44, of Winamac, passed away at 1:16 p.m., Monday, Aug. 6, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.
He was born June 21, 1974 in Winamac, to Jerry Lee Sr. and Patricia Helvie Walters. He graduated from Winamac Community High School in 1993.

Mr. Walters had worked as a farm hand for his great aunt Dorothy Gilsinger. He had attended St. Peters Catholic Church in Winamac. He enjoyed watching movies, reading and playing chess.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 9, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 10, at the funeral home with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating. Burial will be at St. Peters Cemetery, Winamac.

WINAMAC - Infant Jason Michael Nelson, three hours old, of Winamac, passed away Thursday July 26, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.
He was born July 26, 2018 in Winamac to Caitlin Jenna Stankus and Trevor James Nelson.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Caitlin Jenna Stankus of Winamac, father, Trevor James Nelson of Chesterton; maternal grandparents, Melissa and Shannon Calvert, Winamac; maternal great-grandparents, Judy Stankus, Rob Stankus and Caroline Calvert; and paternal grandparents Curtis Lee and Georgianna Nelson of Chesterton. He is also survived by his aunts, Abby Stankus, Jessica Calvert, Breanna Gilbert, Joey Myer, Brooke Moser and Jennifer Myers. Also surviving is one uncle, Kalaeb Moser.
The baby was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ann Stankus, maternal grandfather, Ricky Moser Jr. and his maternal great-grandfather Randy Calvert.
A private graveside service will be held at Winamac Cemetery, Winamac.

WINAMAC - Alice Lynn White, 62, of Indianapolis, formerly of Winamac, passed away at 8:30 p.m., Thursday, July 26, at IU Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born Oct. 31, 1955 in Hammond, to the late John E. "Jack" and Florence "Flo" Brown Hogan. She married Darrell Lee White on Nov. 8, 1975 in Winamac. He survives.

Mrs. White was a homemaker, caretaker and avid volunteer. She was a former member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She had been a volunteer for Pulaski Human Services, Salvation Army and Association of Churches in Winamac. She enjoyed playing board games, watching old TV shows and caring for her cat Patches. Family gatherings were very important to her. She was a positive influence on all who knew her.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m., Tuesday July 31, 2018 at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., (Tuesday), at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Pilger officiating. Burial will be at Winamac Cemetery, Winamac.

Raymond A. Duzan
January 21, 1940 to July 30, 2018
WINAMAC - Raymond Arnold "Ray" Duzan, 78, of Winamac, passed away Monday, July 30, in Winamac.
He was born Jan. 21, 1940 in Indianapolis, to the late Raymond Samuel and Lenna May Swink Duzan. He graduated from Carmel High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division. On Nov. 16, 1990, he married Norma Enriqueta Cardenas Travi in Lima, Peru. She survives.

Mr. Duzan worked his entire life as a quality control engineer in the aviation and automotive industry. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, hunting and running. In the 90s, completed several marathons. In recent years, he enjoyed walking. He was a talented carpenter and taxidermist. He was self-taught in the age-old art of flint knapping (making arrowheads).
A bilingual funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (900 E. 191st St. Noblesville 46060) with Rev. Michael Bower officiating.
Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Pulaski Animal Center or in the form of Mass Intentions.
